Its defiantly been an interesting class, I’ve learned more about computers then I thought I could. the software not being added in almost helped me get to know my way around a computer a little bit more which was really nice heading into Dave’s block. learning this rainbird system has been really cool it just lets you see how the irrigation system works inside of the programming and learning how to program your own irrigation for your course in the future.
This is something you can take with you, learn and use in the future because every golf course has irrigation and if they don’t have this system yet I’m sure everyone will be switched over to something similar in the future. Just knowing what head you turn on and what area they are in is huge. If you have sprinklers that are not working this system will tell what heads and where they are makes in a lot easier to just go fix the try to trouble shoot what heads aren’t working. I’m not completely sold on the map part of the system Its a nice feature but I don’t think its something that you have to have.
I will definitely be taking this knowledge with me this summer as I believe we will be replacing the irrigation on the front 9 at bridges of Claresholm which I’m really excited to get to work and get started.
